Taylor Harry Fritz (born October 28, 1997) is an American professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 13 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), achieved on March 21, 2022, and a doubles ranking of world No. 104, achieved on July 26, 2021. He has won three ATP Tour singles titles, including a Masters 1000 title at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters.
Taylor Fritz flies into Wimbledon quarters to earn family stripes
Until Monday, Wimbledon’s 11th seed Taylor Fritz was not even the best tennis player in his own family.
But with some hefty swipes of a garish coral-coloured racket on Court One, the American finally earned his family stripes by reaching the quarter-finals of the grasscourt grand slam.
His 6-3 6-1 6-4 win over qualifier Jason Kubler put him into the last eight here, and saw him match the grand slam feat of his mother who, as Kathy May, reached three slam quarter-finals in the late 1970s.
“My first grand slam quarter-final, that’s really a big deal,” the 24-year-old Fritz said before leaving court. “Part of the final eight and… I’m glad I could get the win on the Fourth of July, being American.”

Fritz was born in Rancho Santa Fe, California, but currently lives in Palos Verdes. Both his parents have been involved in tennis; his father Guy is a tennis coach, while his mother Kathy May used to be a top 10 WTA player in the 70s.
Considering his parents’ tennis background, it is no surprise that Taylor started playing the sport at a very early age; in fact, he picked up a racquet for the first time at the age of just two.

Taylor Fritz Career
Taylor took participation in ITF events just after he crossed 15 years. His junior career started in 2013 by playing low-level grade 4 tournaments, and later at the age of 16, he started playing 2013 US open Junior.
In 2014 he participated in Junior Wimbledon, where he managed to reach the semifinals. Likewise, in the same year, he won his first “Grade A” tournament in Osaka Mayor’s Cup.
Taylor reached at least at quarterfinals in different junior grand slam tournaments in 2015, including French Open and US Open Tournament.
Meanwhile, he lost the French Open’s final with Tommy Paul, whereas he won the US Open’s final, defeating Tommy Paul.
Taylor won the junior major singles title at the 2015 US Open and was runner-up in the junior singles at the 2015 French Open.
