Sara Haines Career, Achievements
Haines began her career as a page on NBC. In 2002, she became the production coordinator for NBC Today at the Rockefeller Center after nine months in the show. Haines joined the show as a four-hour writer in 2009 and stayed until 2013.
In 2013, Haines joined ABC News as a journalist and a weekend program for Good Morning America’s pop news anchor. Haines has joined The View as a permanent host for the 20th season of the show, which began on September 6, 2016, after appearing several times as a host. On July 23, 2018, ABC announced it would not be returning to The View season 22 and instead will be hosting GMA Day with Michael Strahan, finally renaming Strahan and Sara. On August 2, Haines made her final appearance as a host in the previous episode of the 21st season.
On September 10, 2018, Haines made her debut as GMA Day manager at the launch of the series. With the addition of Keke Palmer as the third manager in August 2019, the show was renamed GMA3: Strahan, Sara, and Keke. In 2020, Haines returned to The View as a regular guest host. Following the redevelopment of GMA3 the following year, Haines returned to The View for its 24th season. Reported November 2020.
Haines was due to hold the re-launch of The Chase on ABC in November 2020, according to reports. The first episode of the series was aired in January 2021. In the second episode of the Disney + superhero series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, she appeared as one, asking character John Walker about her role as the new Captain America.
