Naga Munchetty Replaced By Rachel Burden

Naga, 46, is usually sat next to Charlie, 59, on the BBC Breakfast sofa from Thursdays to Saturdays as the hosting roles continue on a rotation basis. It’s not unusual for the BBC presenter to be absent from proceedings as she has been hosting her own programme on Radio 5 Live since January from Mondays to Wednesdays. However, she was replaced by journalist Rachel, 46, for the latest instalment of the show and she discussed a number of headlines with Naga’s usual co-host.

There was no mention as to where Naga was or why Rachel was stepping into the role instead of any other member of the team.

This is a common trait when presenters are replaced, with those on-screen acting as if nothing is different to usual.

Rachel is a popular stand-in, alongside the likes of sports journalist Sally Nugent, 49, and broadcaster, Nina Warhurst.

The three of them are part of a rotation process whereby they take it in turn to replace the main hosts of the show.

Naga has not made reference to her absence on her social media platforms, but the presenter has shared other things.

With Wimbledon in full play, the broadcaster shared a clip of tennis superstar Andy Murray, 34, performing on the courts.
