Mo Farah was born on 23rd March, 1983 in Mogadishu, Somalia. He spent his childhood in Djibouti as a refugee after fleeing from Mogadishu. He later moved to Britain to join his father. His ambition was to become a car mechanic or play for the Arsenal football club as a right winger. His talent for athletics was first recognized by his Physical Education teacher Alan Watkinson.

Mo Farah Career
Mo Farah represented Hounslow in the London Youth Games in cross-country athletics. He won five English school titles. Farah attained the title of Britain’s second-fastest runner in 5000m in July 2006. He later went on to win a silver medal in the European Championship. He went on to win medals in 3000m runs to and breaking records making him a great runner in Britain. He clenched the gold medal in 10,000m at the European Athletics Championships in 2010.
The year 2011 was a great time for Farah as he went on to win several medals and break records in major championships and competitions. He won two gold medal in the London 2012 Olympics in the 10,000 m and 5000 m races. He was appointed as the Commander of the Order of the British Empire after this feat. He again won two gold medals in Rio Olympics in 2016. In 2017, he announced that he will switch from track events to marathon. He went ot participate in the London Marathon, Great North and Chicago Marathon where he won gold. Farah announced his return to tack events and went on to try for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but unfortunately he failed to qualify.
Farah also has endorsement deals with PACE Sports Management, Nike, Lucozade, Quorn, Bupa and Virgin Media.
