Mark Mobius Career, Achievements
Mobius was senior chairman of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group, joining Templeton in 1987. At Templeton, he established and supervised a team of researchers based in 18 emerging market offices and managed more than $ 50 billion in emerging market portfolios.
In 2015, after leading the company for more than a quarter of a century, Mark Mobius decided to step down as the managing director of the Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust (TEMIT) and gave Carlos Hardenberg control over the fund.
In 2018, Franklin Templeton announced that Mobius is retiring from Franklin Templeton from January 31, 2018. In March 2018, Mobius introduced Mobius Capital Partners and former Templeton counterpart Carlos von Hardenberg and Greg Konieczny.
