Levi Bellfield Career, Achievements

Levi Bellfield had entered the criminal world back in 1981, when he broke into a house and was convicted. In 1990, he was convicted of assaulting a police officer.

He was also charged with theft and driving. By 2002, he had been convicted of nine separate counts and had spent one year in prison.

Levi’s first known victim was Amanda Jane “Milly” Dowler, a 13-year-old schoolgirl, who disappeared after leaving the Walton-on-Thames train station on March 21 2002. Her body was found at Yateley Heath Woods six months later. . Levi could not be linked to Milly’s death at first.

In February 2003, 19-year-old Marsha Louise McDonnell became her second victim of murder. He was hit in the head with a dull weapon, in Hampton, London. Apparently, he had just got off his bus (from Kingston upon Thames) at the Percy Road bus stop when Levi hit him. He died from his injuries 2 days later, while in hospital. Levi had apparently sold his Vuxhall Corsa car in just 6 days after killing Marsha.

On May 28, 2004, Kate Sheedy was lucky enough to be Levi’s third victim. He got off his bus at Isleworth, West London, and was about to cross the street, when Levi chased him several times before fleeing in his car. However, Kate was able to survive the ordeal. Four years later, he recorded his statement to the police and helped to convict Levi.

Kylie Atwood Biography, Wiki

A 22-year-old French student named Amélie Delagrange is the third victim of Levi’s murder. It is alleged that Levi had struck him on the head with a hammer. He was found at Twickenham Green on August 19, 2004. He later died of his injuries at the hospital. Shortly after her death, police felt that there was something similar about the murder of Marsha and Amélie.

During all the time Levi did all his known murderous acts, he lived in West London and was often seen driving and trying to talk to the little girls waiting at the bus stop. In fact, Amélie Delagrange was filmed by CCTV cameras. Photos showed him walking towards Twickenham Green. The police later suspected that he may have stopped talking to Levi.

However, the seeds of crime were sown in Levi’s head before this murder took place. The psychologists who studied Levi felt his hatred for young women, especially white women (all his victims were black), possibly as a result of an earlier incident.

Apparently, Levi was denied a blonde 14-year-old girl named Patsy Morris when she was about 12 or 13 years old. He had disappeared shortly afterward. Her body was found 2 days later, and she was apparently strangled to death.

Patsy’s father had reportedly received a call from a boy who had threatened to kill him. However, no one was convicted in the case, although Patsy’s family suspects Levi to be the killer.

Levi was also charged with the kidnapping and false arrest of 17-year-old Anna-Maria Rennie in Whitton on October 14, 2001. She identified him in a video presentation four years after the incident.

He was later charged with the attempted murder of 39-year-old Irma Dragoshi in Longford on December 16, 2003. However, the charges against Anna-Maria and Irma were incomplete.
