Leah Marlene is a twenty-year-old songwriter, artist and producer from Normal, Illinois. She was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Illinois at a young age with her family. Leah grew up in a house full of music and guitars as her father, Derry Grehan, is a songwriter and lead guitarist with the Canadian band, Honeymoon Suite.
He taught her how to play guitar and piano, and passed along his passion for songwriting. She began singing and writing her own songs at a very young age and never looked back!
Since the age of 10, Leah has been performing live all over Illinois, Nashville and Canada. For most of her high school years, Leah made regular trips from Illinois to Nashville for songwriting, recording and performing. After spending two years in Nashville at Belmont University studying songwriting, she has returned back to the midwest to work on her next album!
Leah has a unique, engaging voice and a songwriting style that combines elements of pop, soul, funk, jazz, rock, Americana and more.
She has been releasing original music since she was 13 years old and most recently released “Noise,” the first and only single off her upcoming album. The full album is set to release on March 4th, 2022! She also produces songs with and for many other artists outside of herself.

Leah Marlene Career
Leah started writing and singing songs from an early age. She also produces songs and collaborates with various artists. Her music styles contains pop, soul, funk, jazz, rock, and many more. Leah is a participant in 20th season of American Idol.
In early 2016, Leah recorded 2 new songs, “Paths” and “Inevitable”, and released them on iTunes. Her latest single, “If U Love Me” (Guy Gabriel feat. Leah Marlene), was released on June 15, 2018, and is available on major music streaming services with over 250,000 plays on Spotify. Leah just released her debut EP, “Arrow,” this past December, primarily made up of songs she co-wrote in Nashville.
She makes trips to Nashville about every other month for songwriting, recording and live performances and is currently working on an EP project that will be out by the end of this year. Leah hopes to attend college at Belmont University as a music business or songwriting major.
