Kemba Walker (full name Kemba Hudley Walker), born May 8, 1990, is an American professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Kemba Walker was picked ninth overall by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2011 NBA draft. He grew up in The Bronx, New York. After graduating from Rice High School in 2008, he played college basketball for the Connecticut Huskies.
In their 2010–11 season, Walker was the nation’s second-leading scorer and was named consensus first-team All-American; he also led the Huskies to the 2011 NCAA championship and claimed the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award. Kemba Walker is a four-time NBA All-Star.

The four-time All-Star point guard will sign with the New York Knicks after agreeing to a buyout with the Oklahoma City Thunder, a person with knowledge of the situation said Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Kemba Walker is owed nearly $74 million for the next two seasons, including a $37.6 million option that he held for 2022-23. He never played for the Thunder, who acquired him in a trade with Boston in June in the deal that sent Al Horford back to the Celtics.

Kemba Walker is a professional basketball player from America. He represents Charlotte Hornets in the National Basketball Association. He completed his schooling at Rice High School in New York and in his junior year, he played against Simeon Career Academy.
Because of his average of 18.2 points per game in his senior year, he earned a spot in the McDonald’s All-American Team. He played for New York Gauchos AAU Basketball program and the team ended up at the top position in the nation. In his first year at UConn, Kemba Walker played all the games for his team and was named in the Big East All-Rookie Team.
Kemba Walker assisted the Huskies to achieve the top spot in NCAA Tournament in 2009. In his sophomore, he was named in First Team USBWA All-District. He gained wide recognition during his junior year where he became the nation’s leading scorer with an average of 26.7 per game. He was named first-team All-American by The U.S. Basketball Writers Association in March 2011.
Fox Sports picked him into Second Team All-America. He was picked as the 9th draft by Charlotte Bobcats in 2011. He became the first rookie to sign a multi-year contract with Under Armour. His first triple-double came against Washington Wizards in January 2012.
Kemba Walker’s maiden game-winner performance came against Minnesota Timberwolves in November 2012. In January 2018, he became the only second player for the Hornets with 900 career 3- pointers. Kemba Walker Personal Life
Kemba Walker is the son of Paul and Andrea Walker. His parents met in his father’s native Antigua, while his mother is originally from St. Croix and was raised in the Bronx.
He has two brothers Akil and Keya and one sister Sharifa. Walker grew up in the Sack-Wern Houses in Soundview, Bronx. Walker is also a dancer. He performed three times at the Apollo Theater for the TV show Showtime at the Apollo. On June 21, 2011, Walker released a mixtape in collaboration with DJ Skee and Skee Sports.
The mixtape features songs inspired by and inspiring to Walker. In 2011, Walker signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Under Armour. In 2015, Walker’s contract with Under Armour expired. He subsequently signed with Jordan Brand, a subsidiary of Nike.
