Jenni Falconer (born 12 February 1976) is a Scottish radio and television presenter. She appears on the ITV daytime show This Morning as a regular travel reporter and was a regular presenter of the National Lottery Draws on BBC One.

The Glasgow-born stunner was paired up with Donda Michaelas and they jetted off for a romantic break to Brittany in France.

However, they both failed to hit it off – yet for Jenni, that TV appearance with Cilla Black led to enormous success. 

Jenni put her Spanish, Italian, and Management Studies degree course at Leeds University on hold to concentrate on her TV career after the show.

She then joined ITV as a reporter on the current affairs show 3D before presenting the consumer program We Can Work It Out.

But it was landing a job on GMTV’s Entertainment Today in 2000 that proved to be her breakthrough.

Now 45, she is a regular presenter on This Morning where she is the resident travel reporter.

Now a parent to Ella with husband James Midgley, Jenni is also a presenter on Smooth Radio.

For Jenni, though, appearing on Blind Date was a life-changing decision – and she even revealed that Cilla inspired her to become a TV presenter.

In 1994, Jenni relocated to Leeds to study Italian and Spanish with minor in Geography, Latin and Management Studies. She launched her TV career while she was at university. Jenni is Scottish by nationality and white by ethnicity.

Jenni Falconer Career

It was in 2000 that she got her big break, when she was asked to host GMTV’s new entertainment segment. She ended up interviewing some of Hollywood’s biggest stars among them Tom Cruise and Will Smith in exotic locations.

A self-confessed work-a-holic, she’s fronted a wide range of programmes, including The National Lottery Big Draw and Sky One show Cirque De Celebrite.

When she isn’t travelling the world on assignment, Jenni, who shares her London base with former Cutting It boyfriend James Midgely and her dog Alfie, likes to keep fit by horse riding.

Though she’s spent most of her adult life in the south of England, the presenter who’s proud of her Scottish heritage – still thinks of Glasgow as home.

Jenni entered the small screen as a participant on Blind Date and afterward presented Big Country on BBC Scotland. She presented documentary series 3D on ITV as well as consumer show “We Can Work It Out” with Jane Harvey and Judy Finnigan. Jenni hosted travel shows “How to Holiday” and “Holiday”.

From 2000 to 2008, she co-hosted Entertainment Today on GMTV. In 2003, 2004 & 2006 she reported “I’m a Celebrity…… Get Me Out of Here!” for GMTV. In September 2006, she hosted The National Lottery Draws and in October 2007 “Cirque de Celebrite. She as well worked for Sky 1.

She won the Sport Relief showjumping contest. In 2009, she hosted a quiz show called “Wordplay” on Channel 5. She presented “The Hour” for STV along with the main host Stephen Jardine as a guest between 17 – 21 August 2009.

In January 2013, she took part in the diving show called “Splash”. Currently, she is working as a travel reporter.

Since 2002, Falconer has been a celebrity patron of the charity Breast Cancer 2000. In 2012, Falconer took part in the London Marathon, raising money for CLIC Sargent. She finished with a time of 3 hours and 53 minutes. 

In the following two years, Falconer took part in the London Marathon, where she raised money for The Children’s Trust charity. In 2014, she completed the marathon in 3 hours and 57 minutes. 

Falconer took part in the 2015 London Marathon, raising money for Cancer Research UK. In January 2019 Falconer became an Ambassador of The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and neurodisability, having been a supporter since 2009. 

She has run 3 marathons for the charity, 2009, 2014, and 2019 and hosted gala fundraising events in London.
