Igor Bogdanoff (29 August 1949 – 3 January 2022) and Grégoire “Grichka” Yourievitch Bogdanoff (29 August 1949 – 28 December 2021) were French twin brother television presenters, producers, and scientific essayists who, from the 1970s on, presented various subjects in science fiction, popular science, and cosmology.

Eccentric French TV star Igor Bogdanoff has died aged 72 just six days after his twin brother Grichka.

It’s been claimed the pair, who rose to fame in the 80s with their science fiction show Temps X, broadcast from 1979-1987, had both been hospitalized with Covid-19.

A statement from Igor’s family via his agent to Agence France-Presse read: ‘In peace and love, surrounded by his children and his family, Igor Bogdanoff left for the light on Monday January 3, 2022.’

Despite reports, Igor’s family did not wish to communicate the causes of his death.

It was previously claimed Grichka was admitted to intensive care in a Paris hospital on 15 December, before his death on December 28.

As per Le Monde, Grichka’s lawyer, Edouard de Lamaze, also said during an appearance on RTL that Igor’s death was due to Covid, while earlier reports claimed the pair were not vaccinated – however, this too has not been confirmed by the brothers’ family.
