Bobbi-Anne was last seen at a bus stop near her home in Plymouth at around 6.15 pm on Saturday.

The teen left her home in Milwood Drive wearing a grey Nike hoodie.

Police say she was also blue ripped jeans and white trainers when she vanished.

They discovered her headphones and a pouch of tobacco on the grass nearby.

A man has been charged with the murder of teenager Bobbi-Anne McLeod.

Cody Ackland has been remanded in custody having been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of the 18-year-old, Devon and Cornwall Police said on Friday morning.

The 24-year-old defendant arrived at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning, his head obscured by a blanket as he left a police van.

A huge search effort was launched to find the teenager after she was reported missing on Saturday.

Police sealed off Devon’s Bovisand Beach on Tuesday and confirmed that a body had been found as part of their search.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: “A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection to the disappearance of 18-year-old Bobbi-Anne McLeod.

“Cody Ackland from the Southway area of Plymouth, has been charged with murder and remanded in police custody.

“He is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates Court on Friday 26 November.”

Ackland was the lead guitarist in a local indie band Rakuda.

After he was charged, the remaining members of the band released a public statement confirming the band is breaking up.

The group are named after Bar Rakuda, a popular venue in the center of Plymouth and built up a cult local following.

In a message posted on Facebook, the band announced it would no longer perform as a mark of respect.

It said: “The remaining members of Rakuda; Josh, Ross, Josh, and Mike are all extremely shocked and in complete disbelief by the tragic event that has unfolded over the last several days.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Bobbi-Anne McLeod’s family and friends who must be devastated at their loss.

“As a mark of respect, we have decided that we shall not be going forward as a band and will be disbanding with immediate effect. We will not be making any further comments at this time.”

The family of Bobbi-Anne has been informed of this update and continues to be supported by specialist officers.

The 18-year-old was last seen leaving her home in Plymouth, Devon at around 6 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

The teenager’s devastated brother Lee has now paid tribute to his “beautiful and talented” sister in a heartbreaking post.

He shared a touching childhood photo of the two of them and wrote: “Until we meet again sis. I love you.

“You didn’t deserve this, such a beautiful and talented girl, and to have you as my little sister, the adventure and journey we had will always be treasured. Now go rest easy.”

Close friend Amanda Isaacs said: “Unfortunately it has been confirmed after 3 days off searching she has sadly been taken from us.

“She was a beautiful young girl only aged 18 with her whole life ahead off her. As you can imagine her family are going threw help so would like this fundraiser to even help take the stress away off all this even if it really is just a little bit of help.

“She deserves the best send off as the beautiful girl she come in to this world. R.I.P sleep tight with nan and grandad. Your with the angels now xx”.
