Anthony Milford (born 11 July 1994) is a Samoan international rugby league footballer who will be playing as a five-eighth or fullback for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL next year.

Departing Broncos playmaker Anthony Milford has been arrested following an alleged assault on Sunday night.

Queensland Police confirmed on Monday morning a 27-year-old had been arrested and charged with three counts of assault and one of causing wilful damage following an incident in Fortitude Valley.

“Police were called to Marshall Street in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley shortly before 2 am following reports of a disturbance,” a police spokesperson said

“A 27-year-old Forest Lake man was arrested nearby and charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of wilful damage.

“He was given police bail to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 20.”

The Broncos also released a statement, distancing themselves from the matter.

“Anthony Milford has completed his contractual duties with the Brisbane Broncos,” a club statement read.

“He is on leave and due to begin a new NRL contract elsewhere at the commencement of the 2022 pre-season.

“As the matter is now before the courts, the Broncos will make no further comment.”

Milford joined the Canberra Raiders in 2012, leading their SG Ball side to the Grand Final, in which they lost 42-20 to the Balmain Tigers. Later that year, at just 17 years old, Milford debuted for the Raiders Under 20’s team. Milford played 14 games, scoring 13 tries, and helped the Raiders make the Grand Final, which they lost to the West’s Tigers 46-6.
